The Horsforth Walk of Art was established in 2015 by local resident, Lara Rule, as a free, community led, family friendly, diverse and inclusive, creative festival that engages the entire community.
With help from a small group of volunteers, the first Walk of Art was a success and paved the way for many more.
Aims and values:
- We aim to showcase creativity by local and almost local artists, performers, groups and schools in everyday and unusual spaces.
- We aim to engage and inspire the community to make creativity, in all its forms, accessible and engaging.
- We aim to be ethical and environmentally conscious
Funds come from a mix of grants, sponsorship and donations. Any profits from fundraising go to making the next festival even better.
