Planning your time at the Horsforth Walk of Art

Whether you’re a longtime visitor or this is your first experience of the festival, we are here to help you make the most of your time.

The 2026 Horsforth Walk of Art festival is on the 4th and 5th July from 11am to 4pm both days.

How to get to Horsforth

There are many ways to get to Horsforth if you are visiting from other areas:

  • Bike – By far the best for the environment – there are many bike parks around Horsforth, some of which have been highlighted on our googlemap
  • Car – There are lots of free places to park across Horsforth e.g. Fink Hill, Town street, New road side.  As usual just be mindful of pedestrians as there will be many people walking around on the weekend.  Main carparks are highlighted on our googlemap
  • Train – There is a train station at Horsforth. Plan your journey through www.trainline.co.uk

Accessibility

Wheelchair users – We have highlighted on both the printable and google map which venues are accessible for wheelchair users and those requiring a flat surface. We hope this helps you plan your time with us.

Quiet spaces –

  • TBC

Choosing where to visit

We have many artists, so to help you out, we’ve created several different ways to choose ahead of time – leaving you free to soak in the atmosphere once you arrive and to know exactly where you are going.

Plan online using our Google map

The Google Map will be available nearer the time.

The map is fully interactive with 5 layers to choose from:

2026 venues – showing you which artists are at each venue and examples of their work.  It also specifies if a venue is wheel chair friendly, has any refreshments, if you can refill your water bottle or if there is access to a toilet.

Wooden shapes – schools and other local groups have designed and decorated our themed shapes in keeping with the theme of this year ‘Back to my Routes’. Why not visit them?

Public Art – These are markers to show existing Public art across Horsforth for you to discover.

Official Car and Bike Parks – To help you find suitable places to park across Horsforth

We have created a short ‘How to’ video for the google map to help you understand how to navigate it which you can find at the bottom of this page.
