Paul Aitch Art – Balance and Symmetry Art

DAYS: Sunday

VENUE #31 – VIEW ON MAP >

My arty endeavours mostly centre around geometry, balance and symmetry.

My Tessellation Portraits and Designs are influenced by the work of M.C. Escher and Chuck Close. Each individual tessellation tile being individually coloured to make up the whole picture.

At the beginning of 2018 I developed the concept of “ever-diminishing tessellations”. The tessellation tiles are all the same shape but decrease in size as they move to the centre of the picture.

Also on the balance and symmetry theme I design Ambigrams and Mandalas. Ambigrams are words that read the same when viewed at 180°. I now regularly take commissions for family names for Ambigram artwork pieces.

As light relief from the discipline of geometric and symmetrical challenges of Ambigrams and Tessellation, I also enjoy creating my “Big ‘Ed” portraits of famous musicians and sporty people.

Interest in my work, in the form of commissions, has come from the UK, Europe, Australia, Ireland, Saudi Arabia and the USA.
