The Art of Going Green In Horsforth

DAYS: Saturday & Sunday

VENUE #28 and #48 – VIEW ON MAP >

The ‘Art of Going Green in Horsforth’ is back for a second year.  This year from Horsforth Climate Action (HCA) a newly formed and growing voluntary/community group dedicated to helping Horsforth become Carbon Neutral, Nature Friendly and Socially Just by 2030.  We work in a variety of positive and practical ways aiming to improve our sustainability and impact on the environment in our local area.

All the members of HCA live or work in Horsforth and the only requirement to get involved is interest.

Adapting the Walk of Art theme ‘Our Horsforth’ to ‘Our Green Horsforth’, we will be showing art made by the local community, including an exhibition of postcards showing our favourite green spaces, and a photography exhibition.

there will also be banners made by Leeds Caftivists, arts and crafts activities for children, stalls with information on how to get involved, upcylcling demonstrations/activity from Jax (Sunday only), film shows (twice a day at 12pm and 3.30pm) and a floral arch from Horsforth community garden.

AND, we are excited to be part of Leeds 23!

6 groups working with 6 artists to make artwork looking at different types of green spaces in Horsforth and how we use it.  Groups including MHA, Live at home scheme, refugees from Ukraine, Creativities, Cragg Hill tots and Asylum Seekers. They have be working with the following artists:
