VENUE #23 – VIEW ON MAP >>
Hello! I’m Eloise and I’m a 26 year old teacher/artist originally from Lancashire, living in Cookridge.
Paintings are my way of paying homage to people I love and places I love. Painting is very sentimental to me – it’s an enduring form of expression, and so many of the subjects or scenes that I paint are very close to my heart. I hugely enjoy painting other people’s special places too; producing sentimental artwork that means something to somebody gives me the greatest joy.
My style has settled on contemporary/abstract(ish) landscape oil paintings/abstract floral paintings. I love painting skies – there’s something so hopeful about the clearing of clouds. I love layering paint up and then using blending medium to melt the colours into one another, before adding detail on top. I’m really looking forward to sharing my craft with you and giving you lots of hints and tips about how I’ve refined my style; I also look forward to receiving hints and tips from you too! Come and join me at the Walk of Art

I want to demystify the process of painting and show participants that anybody can paint a beautiful piece. I will focus my explanations on colour-theory and mixing, as well as how to create depth within the painting.
